VodafoneZiggo
Producer
Strap in, this post will be longer than usual.
When I was asked to join the VodafoneZiggo studio I didn’t hesitate for a minute. This was a chance to work exclusively on 2 big brands and it took me back into my comfort zone; client side marketing design. I couldn’t wait to start.
Right from the off I found myself surrounded by a hardworking and fun team. And I don’t use the word ‘team’ lightly here; this truly was a group of people who worked together and they really cared. Collectively driving for results, their individual personalities and skills clicked nicely together. They were passionate for their brands and for the quality they delivered. I felt like a fish in water. This gig was exactly what I needed.
One of the first challenges I was given was to coordinate the design refresh driven by the new Ziggo repositioning that was due to launch. I collaborated with brand teams, art directors, communication specialists, designers, photographers and producers to finetune how the Ziggo repositioning should be visually translated into real-life designs. This was challenging but immensely fun and teamwork made it all happen just in time.
Soon I was handed another challenge; to produce the internal 2022 People Planet Progress festival. In under 10 weeks I had a mountain of work to do: decide on the program, arrange speakers, set up the website and ticketing, work on internal comms, design, organise an in-studio livestream and have it all go without a glitch during the 4-day festival. In addition to this we concepted, organised and executed the very first People and Planet awards, which included comms, registration, pitches, pitch reviews, winner selection and an award ceremony. It was an enormously ambitious project which required all my skills, time and energy - but we pulled it off very successfully. This was such a satisfying project, as overall feedback after the festival was incredibly positive. Would 100% do this again.
After a short breather I was handed the next challenge; organise the internal go-live activities for the Ziggo repositioning in the 10 VodafoneZiggo offices in the Netherlands. This involved real-life greeters, themed lunches and lotteries of a wide range of specifically developed Ziggo merchandise. My timeline: 8 weeks. That’s tight. Thanks to (again) great teamwork throughout the business most VodafoneZiggo colleagues got to ‘Make today fantastic’ (the new Ziggo pay-off) and enjoy a range of fun experiences and freebies. This event happened on my second-last day at VodafoneZiggo. What a way to finish a gig!
